FAQ Why should i pick A.K.A Discos? Answer: A.K.A Discos pride them selves on being professional, punctual, friendly and most importantly reliable. They have a combined experience of over 10 years doing mobile discos, so they know what works and what doesn’t. Matt and Mike wont turn up with a friend or their mum & dad and let them sit behind the disco, they’ll both be too busy making you night “a night to remember” and playing the music you want to hear and getting your guests dancing. What is PLI & PAT and why is it important? Answer: PLI = Public Liability Insurance     PAT = Portable Appliance Tested Both of these are important because most venues now ask for them from the mobile disco, some venues might even ask for them on the night. If the mobile disco haven’t got these the venue wont let them set-up. PLI + PAT is there to keep you and your guest safe. Click here for the PLI & PAT page What do you charge? Answer: Prices depend on many factors of your night i.e. length of playing time, venue access etc... A.K.A Discos believe that all discos are different and try to deliver the best possible price for each and every customer. Please see the “contact us” page for a free no obligation quote. How do i know when my booking is confirmed? Answer: A booking confirmation form is sent out to you which you sign and return with relevant deposit. When this is received by A.K.A Discos you will be contact via email, phone or mobile confirming your booking When do I pay the balance? Answer: Either on the night in cash before the entertainment begins or by cheque 7 days before your event. What time will you arrive at the venue? Answer: Arrival time is normally 1.5 hours before the start time unless otherwise stated on the booking confirmation form.. Can we give you a set play list? Answer: A song request form is sent out with every booking. Can we see you before we book you? Answer: Yes, either at a wedding fayre which A.K.A Discos attend or via prior arrangement. Do you have a backup system? Answer: YES. Even though professional equipment is used and well maintained to ensure the best possible quality, A.K.A Discos prepare every eventuality. By using CDs, digital music video and mp3s, which are played on different equipment the entertainment can carry on using the other equipment if one should fail. Also each speaker is independently power so every eventuality is covered.   What do you wear? Answer: Black trousers, black shoes and a company black smart shirt (with collar) with a small company logo on one side of the chest.
